Visiting with Keira Kohl Today

Drawings of three corsets

This shows the evolution of corsets for a century, which really was very little change at all.

I’m over at Keira Kohl’s blog today talking about pregnancy corsets, and I was a very naughty girl. I waited until the last minute to send over my guest post and then forget to tell her that the images were in the public domain. My bad. So she ran the post without any images of corsets. If anyone reading the post over at Keira’s is interested, here are the corset images.

Pregnancy corset

A lovely example of a German pregnancy corset, designed to hide the woman’s condition” for as long as possible. It also supported those non-existent abdominal muscles that never got to develop because the ladies spend their lives in corsets.
